Is the coolant level full?

Is the thermostat operational?

Have you ruled out any "External Coolant Leaks" via a "Cooling System Pressure tester"?

Have you ruled out "Internal Coolant Leaks" (like a head gasket issue for example) with a "Compression Test" or by using a "Block Tester Kit" that can be bought at an Auto Parts Store.

how many miles on it? when was the last radiator/heater core flush? are the heater hose's hot to the touch? guessing plugged up core.
